Ca faisait longtemps que je voulais travailler sur la fameuse estampe de Hokusai « Le rêve de la femme du pécheur ». Pendant mes recherches je suis tombé sur une référence à une aire de l’opéra “IRIS” écrit par Mascagni “aria della piovra" («aire de la pieuvre »), ou Iris décrit une écran qu’elle a vue dans un temple bouddhiste étant enfant ou une pieuvre enroule ses tentacules autour d’une jeune femme. Le moine bouddhiste explique que « c’est la pieuvre du plaisir, c’est la pieuvre de la mort »….je voulais décoincer tout ça !
For a long time I have wanted do a piece based on the famous wood cut of Hokusai "The dream of the fisherman’s wife." During my research I came across a reference to the opera aria "IRIS" by Mascagni "aria della piovra" ("aria of the octopus") where Iris describes a screen she saw in a Buddhist temple as a child picturing an octopus wrapping its tentacles around a young woman. The Buddhist monk explains that "this is the octopus of pleasure…this the octopus of death" ... .I wanted to loosen all that up!

I was curious if you ever thought of changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
